Nozzle water demand
Nozzle water demand is how much water a nozzle requires
to achieve the objective. Although there are many types of fountain nozzle each water demand
is differnt. Lets us compare the komet 3-5 and
Schaumsprudler 35-10e

Here they are side by side for comparison |
In order for the komet nozzle shown to have a jet that reaches 50cm it
requires 3.8 litres per minute,@ 0.07 bar pressure. This is called its "water demand" Any less and it
will not be able to have a jet height of 50cm
Similarly our most popular foaming nozzle the
Schaumsprudler 35 10 e requires 55 litres / minute @ 0.14 bar to
achieve a height of 50cm
The same is also true of any other nozzle, in that each has its own water demand,
regardless of what "pattern" it has. If The pump you are
considering using can not meet the water demand of a nozzle, then that
nozzle will not give the pattern / height you will be expecting. Similarly
if you have multiple nozzles, the water demand of all nozzles must be
added to give the total water demand, and the pumps and pipes sized
accordingly.
