Mains fountain lights
Mains fountain lights (lights operated by the
mains) may sound a good
idea, but if you are within the E.U you are not allowed to use them.
This has been so for around 10+ years (unless you know different, please
tell us)
The most commonly available mains operated external use light used a
par 38 lamp, although not easily broken if you did break one you then have
mains electricity directly in your pool.
Par 38 lamps are available for other uses, such as garden lighting, and
should be installed by a qualified electrician.
