Level dependant
Level dependant, what is it? Some nozzles are level
dependant, most are not. It actually means is the nozzles dependant on the
water level to work properly. This can be affected by 2
major things Firstly if the pool is too small, so that
the water being pumped through the nozzle reduces the pool water level
enough to expose the nozzle too much. Secondly if the
nozzle is mounted too high in the first place. The left
pictures below shows how the jet should look like when working correctly
as the nozzle is mounted just below the water surface.
The right picture below shows how the jet looks like when the nozzle is
mounted too high, it's base is just above the water surface.
You can see there is quite a difference in the two jets, even though they
are both of the same nozzle.
