How high?

How high can you have a fountain jet and how big should the pool be?

In theory you can have a fountain jet as high as you like, but in practise it is different.

First of all you have to consider the diameter of the pool, see the J.W. Fountain rule for more information

Then you have to consider the electricity supply, to have tall jets (above 6m) you must have a 3 phase supply as it requires a very powerful pump to do this.

6 metres or less is "relatively easy" to achieve if you want a single jet

If you want a tall jet the pump required will depend on which nozzle you would like, since all nozzles have a water demand

In short the bigger the nozzle orifice the bigger the pump you will require to cope with the water demand.
